Ciputra Artpreneur is a multi-disciplinary arts venue in the heart of Jakarta city comprising a theatre, art museum, gallery space and multi-function rooms. Located in Jakarta’s Central Business District, the 10,000 m2 Ciputra Artpreneur occupies the top three floors of the retail wing of Ciputra World 1, an international award-winning mixed development of offices, apartments, hotel and shopping mall.
The 1,157-seat Ciputra Artpreneur Theatre is suitable for hosting conferences, product launches, concerts, awards nights, fashion shows, theatrical and dance performances, with a modular stage, orchestra pit and fly tower. The fan-shaped auditorium offers excellent sightlines and an intimate artist-audience relationship. Together with its favourable acoustic design, award-winning architecture and ubiquitous objets d’art, the theatre offers a sophisticated guest experience across a variety of art forms.
Philip Soden was Theatre Consultant for the project, directly engaged by the client. Project scope included auditorium layout, stage configuration, stage machinery, lighting, sound, projection and communications systems, FOH circulation and signage, dressing rooms and BOH support facilities.
